1. Who you're dealing with

Cogmates ("we", "us", "Cogmates") provides an AI transformation platform : assessments, ROI calculators, data-quality reports, KPI dashboards and related advisory tools. When you create an account or pay for a plan, you are entering an agreement with Cogmates.

2. Accepting these terms

By signing up, using the site, or paying for a plan you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

3. Our plans

All plans are paid. There is no free plan, no $0 tier and no 14-day trial. The Tester plan begins at $8.99. Features and limits are listed on our Pricing page; this is the short version:

Tester: $8.99 / month. 35 AI credits per month for discovery and assessment. Cancel any time.
Basic: $19 / month (or $190 / year). 75 AI credits per month for assessment, ROI, business cases and roadmaps.
Professional: $49 / month (or $490 / year). 250 AI credits per month, ROI Calculator, Maturity Assessment, Data Quality report and product intelligence studio.
Transformation Leader: $145 / month (or $1,450 / year).700 AI credits per month, everything in Professional, priority AI queue, saved workspace, executive PDF export, leader-only advisor sessions and early access to new products.
Enterprise: custom. SSO, private workspace, custom frameworks, API access, dedicated advisor, white-label reports. Pricing on request.

4. Billing, renewals and cancellation

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing, invoicing, sales tax/VAT and customer service for purchases, and provides the Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

Monthly plans renew every month; yearly plans renew every 12 months, on the same calendar day you first paid.
All plans are paid. There is no free plan or trial period. If you cancel, your access pauses at the end of the period you've already paid for: your account and any saved data remain.
You can cancel any time from your Account page or directly through Paddle. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately and are prorated : you pay or are credited only the difference for the days remaining.

5. AI generations & fair use

"AI generation" means one run of an assessment, ROI calculation, data-quality scan or similar tool that calls our AI provider. Limits reset on the first day of each billing period. Unused generations don't roll over. We may throttle or pause accounts that show clear signs of automated abuse, scraping, or shared-credential use beyond the agreed seats.

6. AI generated outputs and probabilistic findings

Cogmates uses AI models to produce assessments, scores, reports, roadmaps, ROI estimates, product intelligence and other outputs. The following terms apply to every AI generated output on the platform:

Probabilistic, not definitive. All findings, scores and figures are estimates derived from the inputs you provide and industry benchmarks. They are directional decision support, not guarantees, forecasts or commitments of any business outcome.
Not professional advice. AI outputs do not constitute financial, legal, tax, engineering or professional advice and must not be relied upon as such.
Accuracy depends on your inputs. Incomplete, stale or inaccurate data will produce misleading results. You are responsible for the quality and completeness of what you submit.
No ownership of outcomes. Cogmates does not own, underwrite or accept any responsibility or liability for any outcome or result produced by or derived from its AI outputs, including ROI, savings, revenue uplift, payback period, readiness scores, maturity stages, firefighting index or transformation results. Actual results depend on execution, market conditions, data quality and factors outside our control.
Independent validation required. You are responsible for verifying any AI output before making investment, operational or strategic decisions based on it. Cogmates is not liable for decisions you make relying on AI generated findings.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Break the law, infringe someone else's IP, or use the service to harm others.
Try to reverse engineer, scrape, or probe the security of the platform.
Upload malware, run spam, or attempt to bypass usage limits.
Resell or white-label our output unless you're on an Enterprise plan that allows it.

9. Your content and AI output

You own the information you put into Cogmates and the reports we generate for you. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content only to deliver the service. AI output can be wrong : treat it as decision support, not as professional advice. You're responsible for verifying anything you act on.

10. Account suspension

We may suspend or close an account for non-payment, material breach of these terms, fraud or security risk, or repeated policy violations. Where possible we'll give you a chance to fix the issue first.

11. Service availability

We work hard to keep Cogmates running but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Implied warranties are disclaimed to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our total liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, except where the law says we must be.

12. Changes

We may update these terms: when we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, give you notice by email or in-app before they take effect.
